Join the Jasper Project and artist Steven White as we celebrate the opening of his exhibition in the gallery space at Harbison Theatre.
At 7 PM, White will speak briefly and give you the opportunity to enjoy his work prior to the opening curtain for The Purple xPeRIeNCE Tribute Show. During intermission, you're invited to revisit his art and speak with him individually about his process. White’s art will be for sale.
White’s recent signature works make bold use of positive and negative space to create unique, modern, black-and-white pop art.
White said, “Negative space is, quite simply, the space that surrounds the subject in an image or painting. Just as important as that subject itself, negative space helps to define the boundaries of positive space and brings balance to a composition. My most recent works are classic examples of negative space use.”
