Created and hosted by South Carolina Poet Laureate Patrick Davis, "Songs and Stories of Carolina" is a one-of-a-kind live experience featuring Patrick Davis & His Midnight Choir, a 10-piece backing band, for an evening of music, storytelling, humor, and heart.
This special performance celebrates the people, places, traditions, and creative spirit of South Carolina through an intimate blend of song and story. As part of Patrick Davis' broader South Carolina Storytellers Initiative, each performance features a special guest poet, writer, storyteller, or songwriter from the state, along with appearances by students from the Young Storytellers of South Carolina program, creating meaningful connections to the host community and showcasing the next generation of creative voices.
Davis' songs have been recorded by acclaimed artists including Jimmy Buffett, Guy Clark, and Darius Rucker, and his song "Carolina When I Die" was recently named an Official State Song of South Carolina.
