Harbison Theatre has announced Tony® and GRAMMY® Award-winning Broadway star Jennifer Holliday will open the 2025-2026 season with a special performance on September 20, 2025. Known for her soul-stirring vocals and unforgettable stage presence, Holliday is sure to electrify the audience with a performance that spans a decades-long career.
Holliday rose to international fame with her groundbreaking role in the original Broadway production of “Dreamgirls” (1981). Her unforgettable performance of “And I Am Telling You, I’m Not Going” not only won her a GRAMMY® Award and a Tony® Award, but also became one of the most celebrated moments in Broadway history.
Throughout her career, Holliday has released seven studio albums, earned five Top 10 singles on the R&B and dance charts, and received a second GRAMMY® Award for her stirring rendition of Duke Ellington’s “Come Sunday.” Known for her unmatched stage presence, powerful voice, and heartfelt performances, Holliday continues to inspire audiences across generations.
