Terence Young Brings Electrifying Urban Guitar Sound to Harbison Theatre

Columbia, S.C. – Terence Young, one of the most talented and electrifying urban guitarists in the world, will perform at Harbison Theatre at Midlands Technical College Friday, November 5, 2021 at 7:30 p.m. as part of the theatre’s Carolina Shout series, produced by Reggie Sullivan. (This show is rescheduled from the 2019-2020 season.)

Young has released 10 CDs to date, ranging from smooth jazz and R&B, to gospel, holiday, instrumental rock, and original guitar compositions. He has shared the stage with renowned recording artists including The Temptations, Frankie Beverly and Maze, Patti LaBelle, Gladys Knight, Babyface, Charlie Wilson, En Vogue, Morris Day and the Time, Al Jarreau, Roberta Flack, George Duke, Rachelle Ferrell, Gerald Albright, Clarence Carter, and Joe Sample.

“In 2018, we launched the Carolina Shout series to celebrate local artists who are incredibly talented and continue to call South Carolina home,” said Kristin Cobb, Executive Director of HT@MTC. “These shows have been some of my favorites, and I’m so thrilled Terence will be bringing his captivating performance to our stage.”

Terence Young is a native of Elko, S.C., and now resides in Columbia, S.C.
